Details
Seven Star Marine Sales in conjuction with Jim Stuart Marine are proud to present "Spirit of Tommie" which is now available after being in the hands of longterm, very experienced, ocean going owners who have spent what has been required to make this Adams Carina 44 the very well presented, safe, conservative solid cruising vessel that she is today.

A large powerful rig for light conditions with boom furling for the main and a furling headsail making the transition to a safe conservative rig for the heavier days a breeze. A deep safe cockpit for passengers and crew offering seating for 6 - 8 is complimented with an additional deep safe helm position with large single stainless wheel for ease of handling with good vision. Recent upgrades have included a full external paint with a good non-skid surface for ease of access forward, a full mast removal, repaint, new wiring, and a full replacement of the fixed rigging, all completed by some of Brisbane's finest craftsmen.

Our mature age vendors have covered many thousands of miles in "Spirit of Tommie" and with the great design features of Joe Adams including a shallower draft with a retractable keel have enjoyed many anchorages not accessible to most monohulls of this size. The keel up depth of 4' 9" is offset by a draft of 9' 6" making for a stiff powerful boat that can eat up the miles when conditions allow.

The motor was replaced in 2011 with a Nanni Diesel which is based on the incredibely reliable Kubota block. Good engine access is gained by easily removing the companion way stairs.

Once below a very homely social layout awaits, a good galley with loads of storage ajoins the main dining/lounge area. Forward is a large double in the bow and to starboard a seperate toilet and shower room are easily accessible.

Aft are 2 additional sleeping areas offering a second double and a 3/4 cruising/pilot berth. A nice solid timber fitout adds to the feeling of safety and security unmatched in many lighweight production yachts of similar size.
